This Privacy Notice for K&D Round's Landscape Service (“we,” “us,” or “our”) describes how and why we access, collect, store, use, and share (“process”) your personal information when you use our services (“Services”), including when you:
- Visit our website at kdroundslandscape.com, or any website of ours that links to this Privacy Notice
- Request a quote, ask us to change service, or otherwise contact us
- Agree to receive text messages from us
- Receive landscape services at a property, or apply for a job with us
Questions or concerns? Reading this Privacy Notice will help you understand your privacy rights and choices. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Services. If you still have questions, contact us at information@kdrounds.com or 757-857-4277.
Our Terms and Conditions govern use of the website and the text-message program. Landscape work is governed by the estimate or service agreement for that work.

1. What information do we collect?
Personal information you disclose to us
In short: We collect personal information that you provide to us.
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you express an interest in our services, submit a form, request or change service, agree to receive texts, communicate with us, or apply for a job.
The personal information we collect depends on how you interact with us. It may include:
- Names
- Phone numbers
- Email addresses
- Mailing or service addresses
- The service you are asking about, and messages you send us
- Property details you choose to share so we can do the work, such as access notes, pets, irrigation, or site conditions
- Contact preferences, including whether you agree to receive text messages
- Records of the services we provide, estimates, invoices, and payment status
- Employment information if you apply for a job in person
Website forms ask for your name, email, phone number, and the service you want. They do not ask for a username, password, or card number. We do not process sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, or biometric identifiers through the website.
All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes.
If you are a property manager, spouse, tenant, or someone else contacting us about a property, you should give us only information you are allowed to share, and only a mobile number you are allowed to enroll in texts.
Information automatically collected
In short: Some information — such as your IP address and browser — is collected automatically when you visit the website or submit a form.
We automatically collect certain information when you visit or use the website. This information does not, by itself, reveal your name, but it may include your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, referring URLs, and information about how and when you use the site, such as the pages you view. We use this information to keep the site secure and to understand how it is used.
When you submit a form, we also store the page you submitted from, your IP address, and your browser type, along with the information you typed.
We do not collect GPS location from your phone through the website. A service address you give us is the location of the property, not live tracking of your device.
Job photos
We may photograph work we perform and show those photos in the gallery on this website. Photos are of landscaping and properties. If a photo shows your property and you want it taken down, contact us and we will remove it within a reasonable time.
Information collected from other sources
In short: We do not buy personal information from data brokers.
We may receive your name and contact details from a person who is authorized to request service for a property, such as a spouse, property manager, or commercial account contact. We use that information to respond and to perform the work.
2. How do we process your information?
In short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, keep the site secure, and comply with law.
We process personal information for reasons that depend on how you interact with us, including:
- To deliver services. To prepare estimates, schedule crews, perform landscape work, and keep records of the account.
- To respond to you. To answer quote requests, service changes, and other inquiries.
- To send text messages you agreed to. Service, account, and occasional promotional messages, as described in the SMS section below.
- To protect our Services. To keep the website safe, including monitoring for abuse of our forms.
- To comply with law. Tax, accounting, and other legal requirements.
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not enroll job applicants in customer or marketing texts.
3. When and with whom do we share your personal information?
In short: We share information with service providers who help us run the business, and when the law requires it. We do not sell it.
We may share personal information in these situations:
- Website and email delivery. Form submissions are stored on our website and emailed to our office. A copy is also sent to our website provider, Tidewater Techs, LLC, 3324 Virginia Beach Blvd, Suite 102, Virginia Beach, VA 23452, so the form can be delivered and supported. Tidewater Techs may use that information only to provide those services.
- Text-message platform. If you agree to receive texts, we share your mobile number and the content needed to send those messages with the vendor that transmits them. That vendor may not use your number for its own marketing.
- Other service providers. We may share information with vendors who help us with accounting, payment processing, or scheduling, and only for that purpose.
- Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used. See the cookies section below.
- Business transfers. We may share or transfer information in connection with a merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or part of our business.
- Legal. We may disclose information if we believe it is required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our company, our customers, or others.
We do not share your mobile number or text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.
4. Do we use cookies and other tracking technologies?
We may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site secure, remember a form security check, and understand how visitors use the site.
We use Google Analytics to measure traffic on the website. To opt out of Google Analytics, visit https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. For more information on Google’s practices, see Google’s Privacy & Terms.
Most browsers accept cookies by default. You can set your browser to refuse cookies. If you do, some features of the site, including the form security check, may not work.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not allow third parties to use this website for their own targeted advertising.
5. How long do we keep your information?
In short: We keep your information for as long as necessary for the purposes in this notice, unless a longer period is required by law.
Quote requests and form submissions are kept long enough to respond and for our business records. Customer records, including service history and related text-message logs, are kept for the business relationship and for as long as tax, accounting, or other laws require. Job applications are kept for hiring consideration and are stored separately from customer marketing. When we no longer need personal information, we delete it or isolate it until deletion is possible, for example when it remains in a backup.
6. How do we keep your information safe?
In short: We use reasonable safeguards, and no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information we process. No electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed 100% secure. Text messages in particular are not a secure way to send secrets. Do not send us credit or debit card numbers, gate codes, alarm codes, Wi-Fi passwords, or similar codes by text. If we send a payment link, use that link instead of replying with a card number.
7. Do we collect information from minors?
In short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18.
The website and the text-message program are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 through the site, and we do not knowingly send marketing texts to children. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 18 through the website, we will delete it. Contact us at information@kdrounds.com if you believe we have done so.
8. What are your privacy rights?
In short: You may ask us to correct or delete information you submitted, and you may opt out of texts at any time.
You may email information@kdrounds.com or call 757-857-4277 to ask us to correct or delete a quote request or other information you sent through the website. We may need to keep some records for tax, accounting, or legal reasons, or to finish work you asked us to do.
Withdrawing consent. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that happened before you withdrew it, and it does not cancel landscape service. To stop texts, reply STOP. To change or cancel lawn maintenance or another service, call us or use the service modification form on the website.
9. Controls for Do-Not-Track features
Some browsers offer a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) signal. There is no uniform standard for how websites must respond to DNT. We do not currently respond to DNT signals. If a standard we are required to follow is adopted, we will describe that practice in an update to this notice.
10. Do United States residents have specific privacy rights?
In short: If you live in a state with a consumer privacy law, you may have additional rights. Those rights depend on the law and on whether it applies to a business of our size.
Residents of certain states, including Virginia, California, Colorado, Connecticut, and others, may have rights to know, access, correct, or delete personal information, or to opt out of the sale of personal information or targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for targeted advertising. Some of these laws apply only after a business meets a revenue or volume threshold. If a law applies to you and to us, we will honor a verified request as that law requires. If it does not apply, we will still correct or delete a website request when we reasonably can.
Categories of personal information
In the past twelve months we have collected the following categories:
| Category | Examples | Collected |
|---|---|---|
| A. Identifiers | Name, email, phone number, IP address | Yes |
| B. Customer records | Name, contact information, service address when you provide it | Yes |
| C. Protected classifications | Race, religion, or similar demographic data | No |
| D. Commercial information | Services requested, estimates, and account history. We do not collect card numbers on this website. | Yes, if you request or receive service |
| E. Biometric information | Fingerprints or face scans | No |
| F. Internet activity | Pages viewed, form submissions, browser type | Yes |
| G. Geolocation | A service address you give us. We do not collect GPS from the website. | Address only, if you provide it |
| H. Audio or visual | Photos of completed landscape work | Yes, job photos |
| I. Professional information | Job application details if you apply in person | Only if you apply |
| J. Inferences | Profiles used for targeted advertising | No |
We have not sold or shared personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the preceding twelve months, and we will not sell personal information.
To exercise a privacy right, contact us using the details at the bottom of this page. We will take reasonable steps to verify that you are the person the information is about, or that an agent is authorized to act for you. If we decline a request that a state law requires us to honor, you may appeal by emailing information@kdrounds.com. If we deny the appeal, you may contact your state attorney general.
11. SMS text messaging
This section describes the K&D Round's Landscape Service text-message program. It is part of this Privacy Notice and of our Terms and Conditions.
Program description. If you opt in, we send text messages about landscape services. Messages may include:
- Quote follow-up, appointment windows, crew arrival, and weather delays
- Seasonal reminders, such as irrigation start or winterization, annual flowers, mulch, and maintenance
- Account messages, such as invoice or payment reminders and service changes
- Occasional promotional messages about our services
How you opt in. You opt in when you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, including by checking a consent box on a form, replying to an opt-in message, or agreeing in person or by phone. You represent that you are the subscriber or customary user of the number, or that you are authorized to receive messages about that property or commercial account.
Consent is not required to buy. Agreeing to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
Frequency. Message frequency varies based on your requests and the services on the account.
Cost. Message and data rates may apply. Check with your wireless carrier.
Opt out. Reply STOP to cancel texts. You will receive a confirmation, and we will stop texting that number. Reply START if you want to opt in again. A reply of STOP from a shared household or office number opts that number out.
Help. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at 757-857-4277 or information@kdrounds.com.
Carriers. The program works with major U.S. wireless carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Stopping texts does not cancel service. Opting out ends text messages. It does not cancel lawn maintenance, irrigation, or any other landscape service, and it does not change what you owe. To change or cancel service, call 757-857-4277 or submit a service modification request on the website.
A text is not the contract. A text message, including a reply, is not a signed estimate, change order, or service agreement. Prices, schedules, and cancellations follow the written estimate or agreement, or instructions we confirm with you by phone or in writing. Arrival times and weather notices are estimates.
What not to text. Do not send credit or debit card numbers, gate codes, alarm codes, or passwords by text.
Wrong number. If you received a message by mistake, reply STOP or contact us and we will stop texting that number.
No sharing of consent. We do not share your opt-in or mobile number with third parties for their marketing. Our texting vendor may process the number only to deliver the messages you agreed to.
Applicants. Asking about a job does not enroll you in customer or promotional texts.
12. Do we make updates to this notice?
In short: Yes. We will update this notice as needed to stay accurate.
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by the “Last updated” date at the top. If we make material changes, we may post a notice on the website or send you a message. Please review this notice from time to time.

14. How can you review, update, or delete the data we collect from you?
You may request access to the personal information we collected from you through the website, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete it. You may also withdraw consent to text messages by replying STOP. These requests may be limited where the law allows us to keep a record. To make a request, email information@kdrounds.com or call 757-857-4277.
